FRIDAY INDIAN HEAD RAIL TRAIL
Class All 26 mi at 10:00 AM from Indian Head Village Green
Ride one of the premier trails in the entire DC metro area from the Indian Head Village Green to White Plains and return. Ride at your own pace, go as far as you desire, enjoy stimulating conversation with other club members, and just have a good time! Convenient portolets along the route. Lunch afterwards is always a possibility given the number of calories expended.
Directions: Take MD-210 (Indian Head Highway) south to Indian Head. Turn right on Earl Rd/Pye St just before entrance to the Naval Weapon Center, Indian Head Division. Turn right onto Mildred Ride Drive.[Mildred Rice Drive, Indian Head, MD 20640]

STARBUCK'S EXPRESS
Class B & Up 26 mi at 6:00 PM from Manokeek Village Center
For the rider who would like to get in a ride after their work day, or just to ride, with a restroom at the start/finish, the "Starbucks Express" is the perfect "Non Stop" 25 mile ride that will start and finish in front of Starbucks located in the Manokeek Village Center at the far southern, quiet edge of Prince George's County, Maryland. From there, the ride takes you into Charles County Maryland. You will then skirt with Waldorf, White Plains, ride 5 miles of the scenic Indian Head Rail Trail, where you can do intervals, a challenging climb up Mill Hill & Bumpy Oak Road, which will sometimes include Hill Repeats, Pomonkey, Bryans Road, Accokeek, and then return to Manokeek, where you can enjoy a refreshment at Starbucks to complete your ride experience. 2 OR 3 COVERED BRIDGES PLUS LAPP'S ICE CREAM: PRE COVERED BRIDGES RIDE!
Class C/CC 41/49 mi at 10:30 AM from Strasburg Railroad
2 OR 3 COVERED BRIDGES & LAPP'S ICE CREAM TRUST ME, PEOPLE. This ice cream is worth the long drive and the 42/49 miles! I will make a decision regarding milage based on Saturday as well as Sunday forecast. Class CC/Touring 42/49 mi at 10:30 AM from Strasburg Railroad 301 Gap Road, Ronks PA.
This ride is a prelude to Sunday's Covered Bridge Metric. We'll ride through the Amish farmland of Lancaster County, visiting places not on Sunday's ride,featuring two or three covered bridges and a visit to the Lapp Valley Farm Dairy and Ice Cream.

Directions: Take Baltimore-Washington Parkweay MD-295 N to I65N towards Towson. Take exit 24 for I-83 N toward York Pa/Timonium. Take I-83N to US-30 E. Take the PA-462/Lincoln Hwy exit. Take Strasburg Pike to PA-741 E in Strasburg Township. Turn right onto PA-462 W/Lincoln Hwy. Turn left onto Strasburg Pike. Continue onto Lancaster Ave. Turn left onto W. Main St. Slight left onto PA-741 E. Strasburg RR is on the left. Proceed to the far end of the parking lot.
Please leave enough time to arrive 15 minutes early. 2-3 hour drive from the DC area. I am honored to be leading this ride during Steve P.'s continuing recovery.
