A LITTLE HIDDEN AMISH, A LITTLE 3NT
Class CC 39 mi at 12:00 PM from Oak Ridge Park
It looks like the March lion will take a nap between storms, so let's ride! The beginning of this route borrows heavily from the Hidden Amish ride but it returns on the Three Notch Trail, thus making it fairly flat. You can view and download it here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29406621. We'll have one rest stop at a WaWa. There will be several shortcut opportunities if desired. Ride leader will sweep and bring cue sheets. WEATHER NOTE: As always, check the ride updates before leaving home in case a change in weather necessitates a change in plans.
Directions: From Beltway Exit 7-A, take Branch Ave/MD-5 S toward Waldorf. After 13 miles, turn left on Mattawoman Beantown Rd to stay on MD 5. After 3 miles, turn left at Leonardtown Rd/MD-5 S. After 4.9 miles, turn right onto Oliver's Shop Rd. After 2.6 miles, turn left onto Oaks Rd and go 1.3 miles to Oak Ridge Park on the right. [13675 Oaks Rd, Hughesville, MD 20637]

A SHORT (AND A BIT LONGER) RIDE TO NANJEMOY
Class C/CC 32/38 mi at 11:00 AM from Pisgah Park
According to the forecast we'll should see some sunny skies with temperatures in the high 40s, almost 50, today. This route will let you take advantage of the break in the weather, get home with plenty of time to get ready for the annual meeting tonight, and even stop off at T&J's BBQ on the way back to get something to share for the pot luck dinner (that's certainly my plan!). There's a 32 mile route if you haven't been riding much this winter, and a 38 mile route if you're feeling up for more, with plenty of rest stop opportunities including Scott's Store in Welcome, Friendship Farm Park, Mallows Bay Park and on the longer route, Smallwood Park. 32 or 38 miles, 1090' of elevation gain for the 32 mi route. Route map and GPS files (for the 32) are here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/12529274 and the cue sheet is in the Cloud: https://goo.gl/2Uv8SX This is a BYOQ (Bring Your Own cue sheet), printed copies available by prior arrangement. Ride leader will go at a C pace, and a CC joint leader would be welcome. As always, be sure to check Schedule Updates in the event that the forecast changes.
Directions: From the intersection of Mason Springs Rd and Poorhouse Rd (i.e., the Pisgah store) continue south on Mason Spring Rd for about 7/10 of a mile, then turn right on Pisgah Park Pl. Follow the park entrance road 0.4 mi then go left into the park. 6645 Mason Springs Rd, La Plata, MD 20646

ACCOKEEK FIREHOUSE TO THE IHRT RIDE
Class CC/B 40 mi at 9:00 AM from Accokeek Firehouse
This is a new route for those wanting a bit more mileage and climbing. We start from the Accokeek Firehouse to meet the 10:00 ride from the Livingston Rd access to the IHRT. We'll get there by back roads which include Old Marshall Hall Rd to Barry's Hill then the climb up Marshall Hall Rd where we cross Indian Head Hwy onto Livingston Rd to the other ride's start location. We'll ride with the other group on the IHRT but leaving them at Livingston Rd, returning by way of Hawthorne Rd, Chapman's Landing, Marshall Hall Rd, and finally up Barry's Hill and back to our start. At this time, there is no cue sheet for this ride so this guarantees we'll have to stay together. Bring snacks for the White Plains rest stop.
Directions: Take Md 210 south approximately 10 mi. from the beltway. Go right on Livingston Road at the Accokeek Rd 373 light (B&J Carryout). The fire station is on right after about 3/4 mi. Park toward the back.[16111 Livingston Rd, Accokeek, MD]

A hands on workshop for riders who seek being confident and capable of addressing common bicycle issues while on the road, or tuning at home. General bike maintenance will also be covered. LAUREL GROVE TO CHAPTICO, NEWTOWNE NECK TO LAND'S END

Class C/CC 42 mi at 11:00 AM from Laurel Grove (John Baggett Park)
A shortened, early season route that visits Chaptico, Bayside, Newtowne Neck State Park and the Loveville Mennonite area, with the start re-routed from Charlotte Hall to John Baggett Park in Laurel Grove. The steepest climbs have been eliminated, but it's not all flat: 1263' of elevation gain with a maximum grade of 5.4% on Dr Johnson Rd. Rest stops at the Chaptico Store, at the end of the road in Newtowne Neck State Park and at the Exxon at MD-5 and Newtowne Neck Rd across from Maypole Rd. Route map & GPS files are here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29512108?beta=false and the cue sheet is in the Cloud: https://goo.gl/HQMjvr I'll bring a few cue sheets, but to be sure you may want to print a copy yourself. John Baggett Park is a bit farther away than most ride starts (about 1 hr 15 min from Alexandria) but starting there lets us reach a beautiful destination while keeping with early season distances, and I hope the 11 am start will compensate for the longer drive time.
Directions: From Capital Beltway and MD-5 / Branch Ave head southeast on MD-5 S 11.5 mi. Use the left 3 lanes to turn left onto MD-5 S/Mattawoman Beantown Rd. LAUREL GROVE TO CHAPTICO, NEWTOWNE NECK TO LAND'S END
RESCHEDULED FROM 3/23 DUE TO WIND AND WEATHER.

Go 3.2 mi and use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto MD-5 S. Go 17.6 mi and continue onto MD-235 S. Go 3.0 mi and turn right into Laurel Grove Park.

2-BUMP SLUMP
Class A/AA 27 mi at 5:00 PM from Manokeek Village Center
A shortened version of the 3-Bump Chump, that cuts out the Ironsides and Accokeek sections, for a short, fast, fun ride that returns on a cruiser, heads down TT along the Indian Head Hwy. Leading this to gauge interest in the time slot, since TdA now has such horrible roadway the second half of that ride. Start together, finish together, stronger riders are expected to drop back to pull others up. Cheers!
Directions: From the Washington Beltway (I-95), take Indian Head Hwy Md 210 south towards Indian Head for approximately ten miles, turn left onto Berry Rd Md 228, after a half mile turn right onto Manning Rd and then take the second right into the Manokeek Shopping Village. Park in front of Starbucks. [7053 Berry Rd, Accokeek, MD 20607]
