Bicycles Belong

The Route Improvement Committee of the Oxon Hill Bicycle & Trail Club
promotes bicycling safety with public officials and promotes bikeway development.

Our vision is a more Bicycle-Friendly Community. To realize this vision, we are members of various organizations and have given public statements to organizations. This Web page is intended to keep our membership informed and to encourage your participation in bicycle advocacy issues. 

The Southern Prince George's Trails Coalition was established to encourage the expansion of the hiker-biker-equestrian trail system in our area. The coalition consists of civic associations and other groups in Southern Prince George's County, including the Oxon Hill Bicycle and Trail Club.

Commission 2000 is a 53-member, all-volunteer task force created by the Prince George's 
County Council to help plan for the future of Prince George's County. Commission 2000 is
addressing issues concerning revitalization of older parts of the County, planning for new growth, environmental protection and the ability of the County to provide facilities and 
infrastructure for new and existing development.

Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is a bi-county agency, empowered by the State of Maryland to acquire, develop, maintain and administer a regional system of parks in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties in Maryland, adjacent to the District of Columbia.
