Maryland Bicycle Symposium
Wednesday, February 4, 2009, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
President's Conference Center East, Miller Senate Building
Annapolis, Maryland

The 12th annual Maryland Bicycle Symposium will bring together advocates, planners, and elected officials who want to improve the conditions for cyclists in Maryland.

Come and learn about bicycling in Maryland. Learn about Bicycle Friendly Communities, Complete Streets, bicycle plans, and legislation that will affect you as a bicyclist.

Share information with planners, advocates, and legislators on making Maryland a better for bicycling.

Meet your legislators.  Let them know that bicycling and walking are important in their districts. The Symposium is the perfect setting to inform our state delegates and senators that Maryland’s communities need safe bicycle access to be fully sustainable and livable.

The Maryland Bicycle Symposium is FREE and open to the public. REGISTER NOW

Car Pool to the Symposium!    We need you there to advocate for statewide bicycling

One of the reasons to bicycle is to reduce environmental harm of driving. The best way to reduce driving (besides bicycling) is to car pool. Just go to www.rideshare.us and enter the following lookup code: MdbikeSymp. You can then view existing ride ads or register a ride ad with this event. Post where you are coming from and find a neighbor who is also attending that day. If you register for an event, be sure to post your name and telephone number.

For directions and a map to the symposium, see http://www.ohbike.org/symposium/directions.htm.
