Exhibits: The exhibits should be setup in the St.
John's Hall of the Lowe Office Building by 9 am Wednesday morning, February
7th. Exhibits can be setup the evening before between 5 and 7 pm, or that
morning between 7 and 9 am. St. John's Hall is really just a hallway, wide
enough for a long row of tables on one side. Exhibit space will be limited,
so we suggest organizations have a display board (like the likeweight ones
at office supply stores that are 3 ft. tall by 2 ft. wide and fold open
to 4 ft wide) and handout material such as fliers and/or newsletters. We
will have have some tables, but not enough, so we ask those exhibitors
that can bring a table to please do so and be willing to share part of
it with other groups that needs space. All exhibits and handout material
must be removed by the exhibitor at the end of the day.
We hope that you will have an exhibit there. It is a good time to let
others know what your organization is doing to promote bicycling and walking,
and it is really a great way to meet others and learn what they are doing.
It is also our chance to show the General Assembly members and their staff
the widespread interest in bicycling and walking in Maryland. We
encourage exhibitors to have several people, so they can take turns
having someone at their exhibit answering questions, someone visiting offices
of the representatives talking about bicycling/walking and inviting the
representatives and staff to the exhibit hall, and others networking with
the rest of the bike/ped community.
