| Monday, December the 14th, and the temperature is 25 degrees lower than last Monday. Six of us (Art, George, Jeanne, Jim, Mac, and Steve) left the commuter parking lot at Waysons Corner with the thermometer reading almost 40 degrees. After a few miles, George, without a good windbreaker, decided it was too chilly for a forty mile ride and turned back. The rest of us pushed on into a 15-20 mph wind from the north. Later when we were returning south, we had a tailwind that briskly pushed us toward Galesville and lunch. [cue sheet and map] |
