| Art's 59th birthday was December 1. The day was more like one in April than December - breezy and balmy. George described the cloudless sky as Carolina Blue. To celebrate the day, Art, George, Jeanne, and Jim rode 59+ miles from Art's Port Tobacco Home to Cobb Island and back. Our first stop was at the 17th century church of St. Ignatius at Chapel Point. The view from the cemetery across to the Potomac River and Goose Creek was splendid. |

| From Chapel Point, it was on to Pope's Creek and then Cobb Island, with stops at Windmill Point and Swan Point. Dottie joined us for Maryland crab cake sandwiches at Captain John's and picked up the tab for Art's birthday lunch (thanks, Dottie.) After pushing back into the wind for 25 miles, we rolled into Art's drive. Art posed for a birthday picture wearing his halloween mask. Inside we had hot coffee, iced tea, and delicious chocolate birthday cake. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ART! |
