On Sunday, July 11th, 1999, club members continued the tradition of Bob's Birthday Ride. Bob McMaster, a charter member of the club and three time club president, started the annual July picnic and watermelon ride many years ago. On the first Sunday after his birthday, Bob would lead a ride a distance in miles equal to his age. As Bob approached his eighties, he changed from miles to kilometers. Bob died last February, at the age of  83. Bob was an avid bicyclist, a dedicated club member, a coach and teacher to younger cyclists, and a very special person. For more, see Remembering Bob.
